Galapagos Islands

It is a saying that great things are often embedded in small packets. This very popular saying is clearly reflecting all that Galapagos Islands have to offer.

This particular group of tiny islands comes into existence after the volcanic eruptions that sit just off the equator. The beauty and vividness of these beautiful islands have captured numerous hearts worldwide. Importantly, from a scientific viewpoint, as these islands were instrumental in Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, the Galapagos today, is a nature wonderland.

These islands are mainly located about 1,000 km off the coast of Ecuador and let you get up close and personal with nature. Here you can:

• You can easily swim with the only equatorial Penguins found in the world,
• Walk alongside giant Galapagos Tortoises,
• Go bird watching to spot the magnificent Waved Albatross or brightly-colored Boobies,
• Scuba dive with Sea Lions, Dolphins and Whales,
• Catch a glimpse of the remarkable Marine Iguana as it gracefully swims underwater,
• Study the 13 species of endemic Darwin Finches
• Come face-to-face with the only bird that cannot fly - the Flightless Cormorant.
