White Water Rafting in Tena, Ecuador!

River rafting is a challenging activity. Many people love exploring their limits by going down in the white water of Tena, Ecuador. The rafting in Tena may be the best in all of Ecuador, but the strength of the rivers can vary greatly based on the local rainfall. You need to enjoy strong thunderstorms all night under a thatched roof cabin.

Getting down to the water was an experience in itself. Over the centuries, the rivers have cut fairly deep gorges for themselves, and the previous night's rainfall had turned the trail - such as it was - to mud. Sinking up to your knees and having the mud suck the sandals off your feet was a common nuisance.

Whatever site you choose in enjoying the fun of white water rafting in Ecuador, you need to register with experienced tour operators. These people can help you to witness the best of the white water offering of this magical country.

Welcome to Guayaquil, Ecuador!

Guayaquil is the capital of the Guayas province and also the largest and most populous city in Ecuador. Located on the Pacific coast, it has a tropical climate, and is known as the ‘Pacific Pearl’. It is the main port of Ecuador, thus, it is of great economic importance to the country.
According to sources, the city was named after an Indigenous Chief, "Guayas", and his wife, "Quil". Both of them chose to die before surrendering themselves to the Spaniards.

Founded on July 25, 1534 by Francisco de Orellana on the skirts of the Santa Ana hill, the city has magical powers that attract everyone. On the top of this hill you can observe cannons that were used to defend the city from pirate attacks. Few houses preserve their original architecture, with defense walls facing the river. Many of these houses were built at different levels on the hill, very typical of the Spaniards and Portuguese.

Amazon Jungle Tours

This Amazon tour needs a level of physical fitness. Unlike any other traditional vacations, such as hiking in high heat and humidity, Amazon jungle tours needs you to physically healthy to meet the challenges. Many people use their departure date as a target for getting into shape – excellent idea. We especially recommend conditioning of the legs, lungs and heart. You'll only be taking day hikes and canoe trips at the jungle lodge, but exploring in the Amazon heat is more strenuous for anyone that is unaccustomed to this type of activity. You certainly do not have to be an athlete, but you do want to be in good health and condition in order to get the most from your trip.

The Ecuadorian Amazon gives you a rainy, humid and warm environment. The rain becomes more frequent in March and continues through July. August thru early December is more of a “fluctuation season,” meaning that it can rain one minute and be sunny the next. This fluctuation makes it hard to classify this time of year as part of the rainy or less-rainy season. January is the start of the least rainy period, a period that continues on until March. Keep in mind that downpours and cool rainstorms can appear unexpectedly anytime of the year, so be prepared for your Amazon tour!

Savvy travelers are aware that luxury travel is available for experiencing this unique ecosystem and creating unforgettable memories.

You can hear the word cruise and frequent travelers automatically picture an ocean-going vessel ready to carry thousands of passengers along the most scenic waters of the world. But, people accustomed to luxury travel are well aware that some of the best cruises in the world are taken on mighty rivers like the Nile, the Danube, the Mississippi and, of course, the Amazon. The Amazon is the second longest river in the world and empties into the Atlantic Ocean along the coast of Brazil. While other rivers feature cruises on smaller vessels, the Amazon is massive enough in width and depth to support some of today's luxury cruise ships.
